Do you ever wake up? (Do you ever wake up?) Do you ever wake up? (Do you ever wake up?) Do you ever wake up? (Do you ever wake up?) Do you ever wake up? (Do you ever wake up?) Do you ever wake up and wish you didn't wake up? It's another month of a pandemic Luck to work but you're tired of work ya always seem ta be losing it You are out of your mind You need to write a song You need to go out and get drunk Get laid and have some fun But ya can't oh no Ya can't oh no Ya can't oh no Yah can't no It's another month It's another month (it's another month) It's another month (It's another month) It's another month (it's another month) It's another month (It's another month) It's another month (It's another month) It's another month (It's another month) It's another month (It's another month) And even though we're stuck in place wearing masks on our face and social distancing with at least six feet of space I still hold out hope In my brain-encased cranium That one day this will all be just a memory inside a song Till that day comes it's a moment at a time I am taking it as I am just trying to survive Cuz sometimes I wake up and I wish I didn't wake up even in a month a pandemic wasn't in one It's another month ah oh oh (It's another month ah oh oh) It's another month ah oh oh (It's another month ah oh oh) It's another month ah oh oh (It's another month ah oh oh) It's another month ah oh oh (It's another month ah oh oh) It's another month ah oh oh (It's another month ah oh oh) It's another month ah oh oh (It's another month ah oh oh) It's another month ah oh oh (It's another month ah oh oh) It's another month ah oh oh (It's another month ah oh oh)

Well, I felt that rage as I left that world and all those people behind I also felt that rage the very same day as all of the ink ran dry Well, I had to get out these thoughts in my head they were starting to swirl around in a manic tornado of chaotic thought I needed to give them a sound Yeah, let's try it like this And I saw all the faces in the field and I heard those voices beggin' for a change Well, I looked in my pockets and all I had to give was some wisdom I had heard from a sage he said you quit beggin' for that change you go out and make it for yourself Well, His words were harsh but what he meant was We are all stuck in this hell And if you think hell is gonna change on its own well I have got some news for you Nothing worth doing was ever done by someone else it was always done by you I had these manic thoughts in my head and I needed to give them a voice Just like those millions of people who truly believe they got no choice Well, it time to make a change but change comes from within It is time to raise your voice It been there all along It been fighting to get out waiting for you to make that choice

I used to be such a little boy everything could bring me joy I'm older now and wiser, well, I am unsure The only thing for certain is a lot of hurt She strong, she smart she ain't coming back lucky when you had her that a fact Held on too tightly You gotta let go oh, little boy, this is all that I know She can't fight your demons for you You gotta fight your own battles and tell your truth ugly as it is, well sometimes it can help pull another soul from that path to hell Well, Purgatory road is a place I have been stuck in the vicious cycle of violent suffering Little boy you know about it all too well Was your stepdaddy sent you on that path to hell Little boy, you're young it ain't too late forgive him now, before rage seals your fate Forgiveness ain't for the one who done you wrong, no Forgiveness is for you, so you can move on Letting go is more than a Buddhist trend It's opening your heart and learning to love again.

Where are you now? Searching' for a thrill Out on the west coast Lookin' for a good deal Where are you now? (Where are you now?) Searchin' for a thrill Searchin' to feel something Other than that winter chill (Other than that winter chill) Where are you now? (Where are you now?) Searchin' from beyond Well, I've done my fair share of dreaming and of moving on (moving on) But I seem to always remember your face and that cold winter's eve when we slept in embrace (slept in embrace) Where are you now? (Where are you now?) Searchin' for a thrill (Where are you now?) Out on the west coast eating good french toast (Searchin' to feel something) with every single meal (Oher than that winter chill) Where are you now? (Where are you now?) Where are you now? (Where are you now?) Where are you now? (Where are you now?) Where are you now? (Where are you now?) Where are you now? (Where are you now?) Where are you now? (Where are you now?) Where are you now? (Where are you now?) Where are you now? (Where are you now?) Where are you now?

Hey Now 02:00
Hey now, where are you running? I know this world, well, it needs your loving But selfishly, I want some just for me yeah I'd like to apologize for being weird but, I'm that guy Honestly, I can't be sorry for who I am No I can't I am just a hope-filled romantic in an age that says, "there are no more romantics" and honestly that gets right under my skin yeah, it does But I derail from my point Do I even have a point? Are these words just jargon in my head? A bunch of nonsense Because, well, well it seems to me that these words only affect me and your still running away from me and I'm still running away from me I was just wondering, can't you see? If you'd entertain the notion of the concept of me Hey now, where are you running? I know this world needs your loving Go on and give it tonight

about

Universe Point is the first full-length endeavor from Eric James Lester, the man behind Eric James Revolution.

It was recorded over a three week period in February 2021 in Burnsville, MN.

Using an interface, a mini amp, drum pad, and guitar, Eric James produced, arranged, and mixed this freshman endeavor in a process that can only be describes as laborious love.

Punk rock, mixed and fused with folk, rock, and a bit of the blues are the byproduct of this three-week spontaneously combustive process which gave rise to rather in the moment alterations and riffs, new spins, on original lyrics he had been playing for years.
